then you knocked
i chose to open the door and let you in

remember when you were young,
and mommy used to say:
never open the door to strangers
because they'd come in and take everything precious
i thought she meant cash
or credit cards or all of my blings

turns out that i thought wrong
or could it be that mommy forgot to mention?
so i grew up not knowing,
not expecting.
that the precious could actually be,
my heart

nobody said that opening that door when strangers knock would turn out this way.
nobody said that they would whiz in cool & calm, taking your heart away.
nobody said that after that, they would always walk away, leaving you helpless on the floor
just like how you were to begin with

tell me what do you do?
